Michael and Melanie John,husband and wife and band cofounders, formed Melanie and the Jam Boyz in 1989. Sensing a need in northeast Ohio for a "Vegas style" professional band, the two sought out musicians who could faithfully perform the music from the 40's to the present. The pair along with their band mates have performed at over 1500 of the area's most prestigious weddings, private parties, corporate events, charity balls, and summer festivals.
