Wedding Tips

My career includes venues from Las Vegas Showrooms to Cleveland Indian's home games. I’ve performed for groups up to 42,000. After performing at more than 1000 weddings in 21 years, I can assure you that I’ve encountered every possible situation. As a wedding "veteran", please allow me the opportunity of making your reception my priority. I can add my expertise to your once in a lifetime event making it a memorable occasion for all in attendance. I’ve listed some helpful hints for your wedding day below:

  • Prior to your wedding send a certified letter to anyone under contract listing all details discussed and agreed upon.

  • Audition all bands and orchestras in person before making your choice. Tapes are not always indicative of what you will hear at your wedding reception.

  • Make sure the "front person" of your band is gregarious and can read the crowd well.

  • I personally meet with my Brides and Grooms one month before the wedding to discuss all details. Does your band offer this service?

  • Inquire as to your bands attire for your reception.

  • Ask your band leader how long their sets are as well as their breaks.

  • Does your band play CDs and tapes on breaks without the additional cost of a DJ?

  • I serve as Mistress of Ceremonies at all of my weddings handling introductions, reading of telegrams, etc. Is that a service provided by your musicians?

I recommend

Jus' Perfect Videos - Lowell Brockway - (330) 929-4918
Quality Studios Photography - Joe Albert - (330) 966-1186
Tailor's Tuxedo - John and Dean Masciioli - (330) 492-4000

These are just a few items you should consider when selecting your reception music. Each wedding is specialized and must be treated as such. My goal is for your guests to remark that your reception was wonderful and so memorable. So remember,

Melanie and the Jam Boyz,

THE ONE OF A KIND BAND FOR YOUR ONE OF A KIND OCCASION!

Musically yours;
